It's Curtains For You!

The town of The forts of the hairy snake is still going after 30 odd deaths, 25 of which at the gallows!

In NyxOwl's words.... Brutal!



The next edition will most likely take place in a HardCore town and Gallows are likely to be outlawed or something...

In other news we are very much looking forward to the Camp2Nite event organised by rumata! (Link!)

One of these leaks is not true.

* The next edition of the Clash is likely to be similar to the first one, only a bit bigger.

* The following one will be revamped, open to most but will put a lot of pressure on town leaders who will have to start planning early.

* The Curtains town is great fun and we are already working on the next chapter, potentially with less gallows and more deceit!

* Die2Nite's bugs will all be fixed tomorrow and we'll finally get to see the bank forum from the bank, the construction forum from the construction sites and the upgrade forum from the upgrade voting place. And the new profiles look better than the old ones. And spacekadt will be happy on the world forums. And I will stop stirring. And Motion Twin will plan well and communicate even better. And Hero days are going to be a bit cheaper.

It's been announced on Facebook, and then... nothing. No announcement at this stage on the actual game, not even on Twinoid. Strange.

Anyway, here's what it said:

It's official: Season 5 is coming to Die2Nite! The day of reckoning and the start of the buildup for the COTT#2 will be the 12th of April. Get ready! Have you got soul???

A lot of things are leaking about this soul business - new distinctions / titles, even a new profession? An option to hide a building from the map?
Let's wait and see...

Actually no, let's make up stories, build up a storm of souls!!

Well as one of the compensations we have received for the massive game fail that happened during the weekend supposedly the entire playerbase received a new distinction and title:

Title: Armageddon Witness
Description: A Rare distinction awarded only to those citizens that experienced the Armageddon!

Yes, it's pretty cool.

Die2Nite is working if you use Chrome instead of Firefox or Internet Explorer.

There are ways to make it work with Firefox, too. Rulesy posted about it in the twinoid forums and Foam on his twinoid profile. Thanks!!

Apparently the game was back up for 5 to 30 minutes and back to nothing with no new message about it. Our zombie experts are on the ground investigating.

Took me 1.5 minutes.

Whatever has happened to our game over the weekend can only be an illogical and corrupted plot against LilMarie's sexies and R3dd3r, as an Oracle, is to be blamed entirely!

On a less silly note, Bugzilla said on the Twinoid forums that "The database problem that was affecting several games has been fixed by the admins. For die2nite, this is a different problem and it will be "a bit more complicated". They are aware of it but we have to be patient."

I thank him kindly for the information and at the same time I think Motion Twin should perhaps pay him for doing their job for free ;)

If it is indeed something they are aware of then why did they not take 3 minutes to let us know about it when they could and ask us to be patient in a polite manner?

It took me even longer typing this update, and I'm not paid for it. Azmael refuses to give me the $50,000 a month he originally promised.

Life is tough! ;)

We finally hear why our great and noble cartographer Rulesy was away for awhile!

Ironically, he got lost in the desert!
He went Ed Gein on a short egotistical actor. Ate all his food in a panic, got disoriented and tried to eat his poor cat, fortunately the kitten put the fire out with his own urine! He was lured to join up with a rather nefarious band of criminals for warmth and comfort! Fortunately he has now written a new map and will be posting it soon. Lets hope he doesn’t get lost again!

Distinction Hunting has long been a hobby for hundreds of the zombie apocalypse residents. Something to keep them occupied:
Like decoration hoarding for instance. It is annoying when people decide to bring back a chair instead of a metal support back to town but hey. . . going to sleep hugging a toaster certainly can lift the spirit of the most terrorised person.

ANYWAY!

Shortly after his death the citizens of "Eaters Of Worms" decided to recycle Azmael`s house! Now everybody knew he was a world class pervert and unmatched in town. But even this managed to shock his former teammates:



OVER 450 UNDERWEAR GARMENTS WERE FOUND IN HIS HOUSE!!!!!!

Do survivalists really have that much underwear laying around?
Did he bring it over from previous towns?
WHY is he collecting underwear?

Its a mystery sure to keep people wondering for seasons to come.

Ahhhh, The ongoing saga of the missing Soul Points in Private Towns

And I wonder if people are more offended by the lack of Soul Points versus the decrease in the amount of distinctions that were not awarded as earned?

CLASH OF THE TITANS DAY 17

Its pretty much official now. The Survivalists are winning the clash of the Titans. Unless something incredibely crazy happens like entire town gets eaten and campers die like flies then this win is all but secure for them.

People are already talking on the world forums about the rare distinctions that will be awarded to both participants and winners alike.

This event has been extreamly fun and we are gathering all the videos to put into a single page so people can view them as they see fit.

SinSniper has done such an excellent job with the Oval Office that he has his own well-deserved appreciation thread. Some people are so overcome with love that they have made semi-commitments such as this one:

We are all waiting eagerly for SinSniper's response.

Will he take Sheldo up on his desire to bear SinSniper's childern?
Will Sheldo tell SinSniper that he doesn't really have a uterus?
Will this be the first of many such desires/offers Sheldo makes to other app. developers? Will Sheldo offer to carry Berzerg's children next?

Daible came out with a magnificent logo for Tamer Town yesterday and I feel it very much deserved some publicity, so here goes:



Please note that this is Workshop trying to post something on here for the first time, so I'm a little unsure how it's going to turn out and I hope I'm not going to get in trouble ;)

Dog poo is hitting the fans in all Clash towns today with high attack numbers across the board! It's time for the survivalists to pile on the misclicks, sample the cyanide and walk in the desert for too long ;)

The guardians have found the Guard Tower and now they are feeling extreamly confident that they can win the battle.

Scouts are enjoying a nice and low zombie attack, whereas the Tamers are faced with a terrifying invasion of 1333 up to 1424 zombies! And with their current 875 defense 5 hours before the attack things are looking very grim for them.

The tamers are 2nd on score behind the survivalists but if they lose people tonight it will really hurt their chances of winning the Clash.

OH the excitement!

Its day 10 of the Clash Of The Titans.

So far all towns except the survivalists have had deaths. Some due to camping some due to real life issues.

Here is the current leaderboard based on points:

3 - Shady Jokers of Nonsense 355 pts
4 - The Goody-Goodies of Nobody Cares 349 pts

Things certainly seem a bit grim for the Technician town. They have 5 deaths already and the next couple of days will really hurt their score. Of course they have alot of buildings and the AP power to finish them so the end game will be interesting. Besides that all towns are in a good shape for the end game fight.
